DS can speak but usually only uses delayed echo or learned phrases, anyway today hes seemed rather chatty so ive asked him what he wants santa to bring. His reply in a very serious tone "lollypop".
So i said DS wants lots of lollypops
His repy in the most monotone voice ever "just one me only have one mouth" .omg i couldnt stop laughing, but fab talking Grin.
But it really does make me wonder just how much is locked inside him trying to get out Confused

cwtch4967 · 28/10/2011 10:19

Aww thats lovely.

DS has very poor language but is making a lot improvement - I was getting him dressed earlier and said "next jumper" he smiled and started jumping up and down!

unpa1dcar3r · 29/10/2011 14:49

Aw bless him Smile

Reminds me of my youngest who asks for the most random of presents. Some have included bread maker, giraffe, sea lion, breathing, motorbike, engagement ring for his GF (this when he was about 8), pint of vodka (gets that off me!)....
Smile

Fab, Ineed. Smile Maybe he's having a little developmental leap! My DS used to improve in leaps and plateaus.

I want a sea lion! Grin

Dd3 asked for a jar of pickled onions for her birthday onceGrin.

Today when she came back from the hairdressers[first time in 2 years], Dd2 said Wheres all your hair gone and she replied in a monotone, On the floor in the hairdressers"GrinGrin.

Ellen i agree hes haveing a lovely little development leap. His communication is improving all the time and he says the most funny thingsGrin.
We have just switched him from mainstream to ASD unit and he seems to be growing up before our eyes ,however he has got really naughty because i think hes seeing a bit more challenging behaviour where he is now and hes copying. But he makes me laugh everyday and i believe laughter is the best medicine lol (not quite as good as alcohol) Smile

Love his reasoning!

DS2 is far more rudimentary than that with any of his attempts at speech, but I do sometimes get the feeling he is thinking "oh, silly mummy!" at things I say.

unpa1dcar3r · 29/10/2011 22:09

pickled onions Grin that's hilarious I need a life.
