Hi,
My 10 year old DS with ASC is really struggling at school with aggressive behaviour. DS is in a local mainstream school. He has a full statement, but despite this (and numerous strategies in place) he just cannot hold his anger in when the "red mist" descends.
He is having episodes of lashing out at the TA's and other children now on a regular basis. I feel that he needs some additional help with dealing with his anger issues, but have not been able to find any such help through either school or CAHMS. It seems to me that it really falls unders the remit of a clinical psychologist.
Does anyone have any ideas whether such support exists and if so how to get access to it? We are teetering on the brink of DS being excluded, and with one failed school placement already I really want to avoid this one falling apart if at all possible.
Thanks
