We have a mobility car which is just gone in for its 1st years service. Anyway Jay had an accident at work four months ago and he has just been to the hospital and told that he can't drive anymore. I can't drive the car as I am only learning and Jay has only had his licence 1 year so can't sit beside me, therefore the car is no good to us. I can't ask my mum to be my proposed driver as she has a busy life and so do I, so that wouldn't work. If I ask for early termination of the agreement will they allow this on these grounds and how do I go about it.

Can't you put your Mum as the named driver temporarily until you pass your test. That way you get to keep the car and have it ready for you to drive when you are able to. She wouldn't have to drive it, just be named. Otherwise I would get in touch with your dealer if you do want to terminate the contract and ask them what steps to take.

The car we test drove had an adjustable seat but our car doesn't and I am only 5ft I can't reach the pedals easily

oh dear, maybe it will be better to speak to your dealer. How long have you had it? Is the lease nearly up?

a year, it has just gone in for its services. Its a shame as I love the car, its big and spacious and I can get my two Major buggies in and out and have three carseats in the back easily

Seems odd that any new car does not have an adjustable drivers' seat. What sort is it?

you can pull the seat forward but not far enough for me. My 206 has a lever that pushes the seat up and forward.
