ok, i dont.
but a while ago i applied for help to get my flat ezcema and asthma friendly. the charity authorised a cheque to do laminate flooring in my living room and dd1 bedroom. and today i have finished doing the flooring. am shattered, and a, gonna have a long soak in the bath in a bit.
gonna take some pics of the place to send to the charity, lets hope it makes a difference to my dd.

Thats great - good to hear that the money DOES go to people who really need it.

Dont let your bath overflow!

congratulations misdee
and well done, has it made your room bigger.
BTW which charity was it???

misdee · 25/10/2003 21:01

i had no idea what charity i applied for help with, as my HV just bought over forms and filled them in for me. it wasnt till i got the cheque thro and saw 'herts charity for deprieved children' that i felt really bad. my kids arent deprieved, its just hard setting up home on a budget.

and yes, the rooms do seem bigger. gotta get my kids some grippy slippers now as they are sliding everywhere.

come on the chat for a bit

Misdee, try Totes TOasties for kids or equivalent from Woollies or wherever, they have those rubbery marks on the bottom and keep their feet warm. Well done, did you lay the floor yourself? I'm v. impressed!

Brilliant, Misdee, and congratulations: I am tuly in awe of anyone who can do useful DIY, well done, and fingers crossed that it will make a difference. Good idea of the HV's!
