My mum is paying for the children and me to go to London Zoo with her tomorrow.

I told ds and dd this evening as they were going to bed.

I said 'we're going to the zoo tomorrow. We're going to see tigers, and giraffes. Oh, and we're going to see Nan'.

Cue the pair of them rofl (And I do mean ROFL) with me startled until ds pipes up 'No not Nan in the zoo '

Well today DH was having 'one of THOSE days with DS and DS was having one of THOSE days with his siblings...

I come home from a long day in the shop into a battle ground with poor DH trying to lay down the law in a calm voice saying "you must listen to adults DS it is rude not to"

The answer I was greeted to was "oh no..no...noooooo" DD WAS the adult when she made me breakfast this morning. YOU dad you was the adult for the day but now Mummys arrived so SHE is now the adult because she is way WAY way older than any of us Blush

I said bed time and he said "ok adult" and went so I guess its ok to be an oldie sometimes LOL Grin

Just yesterday I was pushing DS round Tesco's in the trolley. As I'd finished the shopping I made my way to the till and started putting the shopping on the belt. DS announced in a huge voice and started waving at the checkout guy " Hello Dad and what are you doing here?" Well he was about 19, I'm old enough to be his mother and I don't know who was blushing the most when DS repeated it due to not getting an answer. Blush

Ds keeps saying about sugary foods 'I want to taste what it looks like'

He means 'see what it tastes like'

These are lovely!
My non-verbal dd (cerebral palsy) is getting more and more talkative on her communication device. She is actually very quick, so you hardly see which icons she has clicked (it's eye gaze) until the voice reads out whatever she has typed. The other night at dinner, it suddenly said "bottom", cue lots of sniggering from dd (age 10).
This past summer she had surgery for a g-tube, and one of her therapists and I explained the procedure to her, and then told her we would be meeting the doctor a few days before, so she could type up some questions and ask him about anything she was bothered about, including staying in hospital. She was very excited about this and wrote (meaning for after the surgery) "will there be internet in the room?"
Thankfully the doctor took this in his stride, and yes, there was!
