Does anyone speak snake

Reason why I am asking is DS was allowed to watch the Harry Potter Chamber of Secrets two days ago. He has been going mad to watch the new one but for one thing it is a 12 and he is 6yrs and for another I think Harry dies and he has quite a thing about dying at the moment.

But he has a tendancy to act out films. I was gobsmacked as he actually sat on his own and watched THE WHOLE film without moving one inch Shock

Trouble is...........now he only speaks snake Confused

DD found it irritating to be woken up by DS chuntering snake but later admitted she much prefered it as she could ignore him better and it beats his obssession of guns and ben10.

I got asked for breakfast in apparently "snake" and if we were going out in "snake" and today I finally managed to convince him to go and have his haircut (he hides behind his hair) it was lovely and quiet in the shop so not too sensory but the poor young chap that was doing his hair .................well the only english he got was "who are you?" followed by 20 mins of...........yessss SNAKE Grin

Not so bothered about knowing if HP lives or dies as I am a Johnny Depp fan instead. Now if he died in a movie I would be gutted!

Still not sure about taking him to see the new one. Its the death in it and the whole cinema screen size that I think will throw him a bit. He will focus on the death bit more than the film iyswim. They did a lesson on Barbara Hepworth sculptures at school. Which he found boring apart from finding out she died in her bed in a fire...........exactly you get my point Grin

zzzzz has your 6yr old watched the other 12 ones? were they ok with them? If so I might let him watch the other ones in the set and see how that goes.

The 7th one had my DS crying, and he was 8. They get a lot darker as they go on. The first 3 are fine, very sad ending in the 4th, but he may be fine with it. 5, 6, 7 and 8 steadily darker.

I have used it!

coff33pot · 04/08/2011 14:34

Used it too! Grin

Well I think I will stick to the early ones then. And I have fallen in love with HP.

He is still watching Azkaban AND I have managed to have a shower and wash hair without having anyone else in the house Grin trust me that is a heavenly moment. AND AND AND........DS was covered in pen from colouring and I had filled the sink for him to wash his hands just now. Now usually there is a hissy fit on the feeling of soap and water. Hope you are sitting down lol. He has just zoomed upstairs saying he was going to do a HP trick. Came back down and said "look! magic the pen has disapeared!" Grin

THIS is a good thing me thinks!

Hee hee! Using your nipples. Grin

coff33pot · 05/08/2011 00:44

Day out went ok. Hope zzzz managed to find optrex to relieve nearly poking her eyes out with her nipples Grin

Well DS eyes are ok sightwise. Very longsighted but optician not concerned at this stage due to his age. So its looking like back to the GP with regards to the tick and muscle strain maybe that is making his eyes hurt at night. My bets are he is struggling to focus and gives up at school reading due to this constant rolling of eyes and then coming back to focus again is causing problems.

Me? I am blind as a bat in one eye and nearly fainted when I had to fork out £355 for two sets of glasses! But when weighed up with the odds that docs thought it was a possible tumour (pupil constantly enlarged causing pain) £355 is a much much preferable outcome Smile

He was thrilled as the optician was a young woman who recognised parseltongue as her DS was an avid HP supporter too and so was she. So even though we were there for 1 & 1/2 hours instead of climbing walls he was very happy to let her go through the tests as long as he could put his invisible cloak on Grin When he got home he watched AGAIN the whole 136 mins of Azkaban and it was so great to actually cuddle up to him for a change.

Ordered the WII game today as he had birthday money not spent so that should sort him out for the hols. Making wands tomorrow as he was too overdone with his RL day.

Maybe bored teenagers on summer hols? It was raining today. There were a few pro-lifers on a thread about a woman contemplating a termination, who were very immature and very nasty.

What are you doing up? Get thee to bed.

coff33pot · 05/08/2011 01:31

I am up doing my accounts ellen. I got to do them at night as I tried to do them in the day at first but it was really unfair to the kiddies and that meant they couldnt be taken out so much and I was forever asking them to shhhhhh which is an impossibility for DS really. The house is nice and peaceful and even the animals are snoring Grin I like this couple hours of quiet me time. That said I am off to bed now yawn.............

Zzzzz, you need to visit the Friday night thread, lots if inane chat on there! I even mentioned but no-one got the reference!

Friday night chat thread - too tired for .....(bumsex) or variations on a theme.

coff33pot · 06/08/2011 16:15

Ellen I read the thread but it was too late as everyone went bed. I did see your creepy brackets Grin and thought it was well funny!

They actually had harry potter glasses at the opticians so he was actually disgusted he didnt have to have any!

His sister actually sucumbed yesterday and suggested they play at being in the cinema. Went to shop and bought popcorn and she watched one of the DVDs with him. Which again was a first Grin Well the first time she actually took an interest in something he likes although she is a bit miffed at the wand swaying Grin

You are too much of a night owl, coff33. I'll be back to before midnight once everyone is back at school.

My DS always had / has changing obsessions. Hopefully the guns and Ben10 stuff is over for now. Smile

coff33pot · 06/08/2011 17:51

Well its like this two boys were visiting next door and DS was zooming out the garden playing guns over the fence as they had some. You would have thought I was having a dawn raid Grin BUT he kept popping back in saying he just has to watch this bit on HP.

Also normally if I say "alright Fred?" He would say I am not fred I am 'DS'"

When he did something or had a good idea I have a habbit of saying "good thinking Batman" and I get a frown and its "I am 'DS' NOT batman" My dad calls him hungry horrace when he is at his house as he is forever raiding the fridge and he gets the same retort.

Well today I have been saying all day "alright Harry?" and he has been saying "Yep!" Grin

Aww, lovely.

coff33pot · 08/08/2011 18:52

Well just to let you know that Harry is still with us. The game arrived today for the WII and zzzzz you are so right it is a really good game! So easy to work out control wise once I read through the advisory bits in the first training bit but to be honest he got it before me because he knew where the letters are on which buttons already (unlike mother who is only used to a ps3!) Its more like one huge mystery puzzle isnt it? anyhow he loves it and we have had no stressess and tears over it at all so thanks for recommending it Smile
