Just looked this up on Utube. Anyone any experience of it, is it too good to be true? Can remember years ago watching something on tv about movement "mending" and stimulating brain cells, sort of physical hothousing. Any opinions/experience? Thanks Smile

We do Rhythmic Movement as part of DS reflex therapy with a group of OTs called Hemispheres. It certainly helps to calm down DS (very sensory seeking with ASD and dyspraxia). No real evidence it works though so you are pretty likely to get loads of people saying its hocus pocus. For us as a part or primitive reflex therapy its been a godsend although its difficult to say whether its the RM or the retained reflexes which is causing the improvements. We do a windscreen wiper exercise with feet and a sort of up down movement and a side to side rocking. DS couldnt do at all at the start whereas now is excellent with real rhythm to the movement. For me, even if it all just helps with overall co-ordination and rhythm its been worth it.
