Obvious facial tic?

DS2 has an obvious tic in his right eye when he is tired or upset. It used to be quite slight, although noticeable to us, and mainly showed in the evenings when he was tired. Lately, it's more obvious and shows up most times that he gets upset, meltdowns, crying, etc. Concern? Bring up to paed? We mentioned the tic to the paed previously, as we thought it might be related to him using his peripheral vision (which was something that is generally done when he is tired), however, it's showing up more frequently now and not in connection with the peripheral vision thing but more when he is upset. I've noticed that when he is upset or stressing (or "off" as we tend to refer to it, for lack of a better word - as in "he seems to be a bit off today") his eyes tend to "not focus" on things or slide off to look elsewhere without any real reason. Not like a visual thing, but almost like a neural thing, if that makes sense? It's actually one of the things that tips us off that he is having a rough day before he actually has a meltdown or anything.

Anyone else notice this?

is he on any medications? I am only asking because some can cause ths type of thing. My son had something like that and we were worrying about all sorts being the cause when it was the meds.

Just has Omega 3 in his orange juice each morning, but this started prior to the Omega 3. Oh, and his asthma med (inhaler) but again, this started prior to him taking this as well.
