SATs week and routine out!

DS is having a bad couple of weeks.. we're on tantrums, crying, screaching at the smallest things. He's not coping too well at school either. Not very talkative, can't think/concentrate (you can't usually shut him up!), even though he suffers from attention problems anyway; he takes a few attempts to complete a sentence when talking. :(

Anyone else having this problem.

yup, but in teenage version with A levels! Er, without the crying.
Urk

I wouldn't mind, he doesn't even know he's doing SATS; his reaction is purely from the change in structure/routine. Hmm
We knew there'd be problems when he moved into Jnrs but its starting to show, there might be more to deal with than I'd hoped after Summer.
There is no way in hell, he's going to cope next year! Confused
We're apply for a Statement, I sure hope he gets what he needs.

DS seemed to cope quite well with the SATs week but they all seem to be suffering this week instead. Delayed reaction, maybe. It's Art Week at his school this week which is supposed to be fun, but it's all off timetable and he hates it (and hates art!) Lots of poor concentration and 'silliness' at my school as well, all the kids not just ones with SEN.

Cinammon - are you talking about KS1 SATS! That's awful. The kids shouldn't know they're doing them at all.......

No, he doesn't know.. its just a very slight change to the usual lessons, but he isn't coping with it at all.

He's melting and Jnr's is going to be a lot more demanding. I can feel the starting of a nightmare... {insert deep frowning emoticon}
