Saw on TV yesterday an item about an exhibition of work by Stephen Wiltshire and other artists with ASD. THe info is as follows:

The world?s most famous artist with autism, Stephen Wiltshire, is exhibiting work at the gallery in Riverside, Twickenham. This is the first extensive retrospective of Stephen?s work and runs for two months, from 27 September to 30 November. Other artists with autism, some of whom are clients of the NAS Prospects employment service, will also be taking part in the exhibition, entitled: ?Not a Camera: The Unique Vision of Stephen Wiltshire.?

Nick Hornby was on Desert Island Discs today. I didn't hear it as we were out at my son's new "sports" session. Its repeated on Friday at 9.00am and you can go to the BBC website and find the "listen again" facility.

Heard Ardal O'Hanlon on Jonathan Ross's radio prog yesterday talking about a new play he is in called "See You Next Tuesay" at the Albery Theatre, West End. They talked about the plot of this play and the comment was made that Ardal's character could be described as being somewhat Aspergic. Interesting!

Don't know if this is also of any interest, but Steve Martin (the comedian) has just published another novel whose hero clearly has Asperger's, though the term is never used in the book. I've read good reviews, but have no idea how true-to-life it is.

Desert Island Discs doesn't seem to be on Listen Again. I'll have to spend a bit more time checking or maybe they only put it on after Friday?
