A bit nervous tonight, loose teeth

DS3 has significant asd, little speech, sld and developmental delay. He has a really loose tooth, I am worried it will come out over night. He did have 2 loose teeth but the other one came out really easily, but he wont let me near him to try and get the other out. Am I worrying unnecessarily?

Are you worried he might swallow it? How big is it? I think baby teeth are mostly much too small to choke on. And swallowing it won't hurt him. Love him! Smile You'll have to write a note to the tooth fairy, if he's into that sort of thing.

My DS has lost 5 teeth so far of which 2 he swallowed. No after effects at all. Possibly not what you want to hear but agree with ElllenJane that milk teeth are so tiny as to not hurt if they're swallowed.

I was worried about him swallowing it but not now after you reassurance, thank you. Ellenjane he really hasn't a clue what is going on. He is only 4.11 so I thought it would be a while before this happened, although saying that he was only just 4 months when he got them.

Oh, that's little. My DS2 was in reception but 5 1/2 and was one of the first to lose any. He got his baby teeth at 4 months, too. I've heard of quite a few who swallowed theirs with no ill effects.

Dd1 swallowed the first one which came out, she was upset about it and worried that it would hurt her tummy. She now has one thats hanging on by a thread and we get meltdowns each night as she's worried she will swollow it, i can't bring myself to pull it out Smile.

Don't worry - my dd (quadriplegic cp, non verbal) lost her first tooth at school, and nobody noticed. I think it must have fallen onto the floor Confused. We used the Charlie and Lola wobbly tooth story to explain how the tooth fairy would "know" to visit that night... if you dream happy dreams, you'll be smiling and the tooth fairy will see the gap.
The last one to fall out came out in a pear which she bit into....
