Lumps in neck.....advise!

I have posted before about this around 2 months ago....my DS has 2 enlarged lymph nodes on left side and a few other palpable ones (tiny tiny) in his neck. They move like a ball under the skin.

He had FBC and chest x-ray which were all normal in March however the lumps still remain there....has anyone's LO had the same? They are around 1cm or less in size and have not got bigger? Surely if something serious they would have grown?

DS was rencently diagnosed with ASD so have enough to worry about and when you google it.....scares u but cannot help but worry!!

Thanks in advance!!

My DS1 has a lump in his neck he's had it for about 3 years. The GP wasn't at all concerned about it. I have several in mine which I have had since 18. I am 33 now. I did have tests when they appeared (for glandular fever etc), but it's all fine. I expect he is fine too xx

My 2little ones have them too, they have from birth, I had ds1's (4) ASD checked when he was a baby, they said they were nothing to worry about.

MY son often has lumps in his neck too, in his case they are sometimes linked to ear infections from which sadly he seems to be plagued. Gp is not worried about them but I still periodically get them checked out, worry, worry, worry (sounds like an abba song!) but I guess that's what lots of us mums do.

I think I may have replied to your original post. My dd had enlarged lymph glands 18 months ago and they still there. Doc told me sometimes they never go down x

My ds had enlarged lymph nodes for months and months (sorry brain fog, so can't remember exactly how long, but I think it was about 18 months) from when he was about three and a half. Bloods and other tests found nothing and we were referred to the community paed, which took months to come through, by which time they had disappeared.

Where are they? Ds's were sort of below his left ear and were visible to the naked eye, if that makes any sense. He also had some smaller lumps under his jaw. Those weren't visible, but could easily be felt.

My dd had this. I was advised to apply gentle pressure once a week to the nodes with my finger. I was also advised to put a pillow under her feet as she slept as this helps the nodes to drain. I believe her's were related to having a low immune system at the time so she was also having lots of vit C. It took a couple of weeks for the nodes to go down but they have never come up again. My Dd still has a pillow under her feet now - she loves it!

They are below his left ear...2 which are around 1/2 cm to 1cm maybe and then I can feel tiny tiny little ones all like in a line!

They perhaps get a tiny bit bigger when poorly as u would expect but normally just 1/2 - 1cm and u can only see them if he arches his neck or i feel them!

I am just such a worrier and internet is my worst enemy as worry u even more!

They do sound very similar to what ds had, although I think from what you say, ds's were a bit larger. I have read lots of threads on the child health board from parents worried about something similar, so I think its more common that people realise and are usually nothing to worry about.

My kids haven't had them, but my friends son had them, same location. GP thought they were enlarged because he had had a systemic viral infection. She worried too. Got the impression that any lumps that move around under the skin and are not fixed arn't anything to worry about anyway. I believe his lumps went eventually but not quickly. I'm a worrier too, I think you should try and get some reassurance from your GP, as in this situation I'd be more worried about you worrying than the lumps.
