Sorry needed to get that off my chestShock.

Was heading for Wales today with Dd3 for the weekend with friends.

2am this morning Dd3 throws up in her bed. She just lay there completely covered in sick and called usHmm.

So no worries we clean her up dump all the bedding in a bucket it the bath [yuk] and go back to bed.

Now guess what's just happened, my washing machine has packed inSad.

Dd3 is absolutely fine, too much party food and excited/nervous about going away, I have decided to give it 24hrs anyway just in case[can't face vomit in the tent]. and also friend that we are going with is a bit sensitive about bugs.

What I want to ask though is, any of you with kids who vomit when they are nervous or excited, do you stick to the 24 hour rule or what?? I don't know if I should mention this tendancy to the new school.

Sorry if this is TMI on the wedding day but life goes on[cgrin].

Hi, popped over from the Thursday/Friday thread.

Yes, ds1 was regularly sick when he was over-excited when he was younger and usually in the middle of the night. Hmm It took us a long time to realise that he wasn't actually getting repeated 24 hour bugs. Blush

If she seems to be doing it regularly, I would definitely mention it to the school - ds missed a lot of time because his school has a 48 hour rule that we always observed religiously. I only keep him off these days if he's sick more than once or has any other symptoms.

I think with changing schools she could be more anxious, so rather than have time off I think I will mention it.

I must also remember to tell them that if she says she is going to be sick, she probably is. so Don't tell her to sit quietly and she will be better in a minute, like the other school didHmm.

Things got even worse here after I started the thread, althoug they are ok again now.

DP did something to the bushes?? on the washing machine and left a pile of black dust on the floor in the kitchen which Dd2[15] promptly walked through and then into the living room[beige carpet]AngryAngry. I flipped and made her cry[she is hormonal].

Luckily DP managed to get the washing machine working and in the process fixed a broken fuse in the tumble drier which broke 6 months ago.

So despite a really stressful morning I now have a working washing machine and a tumble drierGrin

And the black footprints mostly came off with a good suck from the dyson.Smile

DP and Dd2 have gone to his sisters out of the way so I can wind downHmm.

Oh Ineed, what a day!

A guest in our house walked oil from the VW garage all across our beige living room carpet and then all literally all around it while he was chatting to dh last weekend. We had to play it down and say it was just mud and would vacuum out - but it looks like its probably an insurance job. Angry So I feel your pain.

Hope the rest of your weekend is great to make up for today. Smile

What a nightmare!

Well so far no more vomit so don'think it's a bug, she has eaten a few bits too.

Am going to get up early in the morning so we can get as much of the day as possibleGrin.
