Hi, I am wondering if there is a certain amount of time that interested parties should be notified of an annual review.

We have a new SENCO at school and have been given less than two weeks notice of review. As we are both working this is way too little notice.

I am sure we used to be notified at least three weeks before, as all our contrbutuion and school reports had to be submitted at least two weekd prior to review.

Thanks

I'm not aware that there is a set time you should be notified, but as you say you are supposed to get a copy of all reports that will be submitted for the review at least 2 weeks in advance according to the sen code of practice, you should also have been asked to submit your views as well. So you'd be fine to tell her she'll have to move the meeting back purely on that basis, start as you mean to go on I'd say, you don't want her thinking she can get away with being slack on more important matters imo. We're always given 3 to 4 weeks notice.

Thanks for that.

We had a very experienced SENCO before who was always by the book.

Bit of a shcok as new one seems to be unaware of what the role is!
