This is really the very last hurdle (I am hoping). The Anything else about the way your child is affected by his disabilities box.

I am writing a bit about nursery and realised that I don't know a huge amount of what goes on there - so I was going to say that I'd send them a copy of DS's statement and his most recent (only 2 so far) IEPs.

Is that appropriate/helpful??

Thank you.

I went for the bombard them with paperwork approach Grin and sent anything in I thought may be relevant. Also in that bit I expanded on some of the things I'd said earlier in the form but was restricted by space.

I did a day diary & at every point really emphasised the comparison and the additional support my ds2 needs over and above a child of similar age.

So taking to school for example - need to park near the gate as ds2 struggles with the distance & incline to the school, traffice noise etc. Hand holding and guidance, as he would loose me in the crowd, become upset etc
How i take him to his line in the playground & stand with him until his teacher/TA takes him from me. etc etc.

Really really spell it out, even the obvious things.

Alright - thank you - am 2 weeks away from having a baby and really trying to keep myself motivated with all of this - plus its Easter now and DS will be at home all the time.

Snnnnnr it is so boring - but thank you all of you for keeping me going with it.
