oh are they the Kindergarten ABA ones? they did the same last year and mad them free for April too, iirc.

they are fab - keep both my dds entertaind for long periods of time.

Thanks for this - am downloading them now. Although all DS2 wants to do on his iPad at the moment is watch the Tweenies (or as he calls them the
'Ter-weenies' ) on YouTube. Good reinforcer though...

sphil - dd1 loves a tell the time app too - called something like learn to tell the time.

the kindergarten ones are really ace - pure ABA "touch the one you eat" type stuff.

toddler teasers are another favoutite - again, ABA style "find the pink square" (out of a choice of 4) etc.

The FFC ones are mostly too complicated for DS2 at the moment - he just doesn't have the receptive vocab, though I have done some function trials with him using objects and vocab that he knows and he is 100% accurate. It's difficult to know how to expand his vocabulary - it's partly that his interest in the world is limited but also that his receptive understanding is still at a low level. So he knows 'table' but not 'furniture' for example. The flashcards are great though - have only downloaded the actions one as we're working on verbs atm and it's something that he's interested in. I don't know if I'm being defeatist, but teaching him the names of loads of foods that he can't/won't eat seems a bit pointless - esp when his functional vocab is still so small.

Will have a look at the toddler teasers. We are really struggling with colours - he can match but not identify or name.

the toddler teaser ones come in age brackets - from kindergarten through to 2nd grade, i think.

dd1 has suddenyl decided taht cauliflower and broccoli are her favourite vegeables, which seemed to be prompted by the topic at school last term being fruit/vegetables - dd1 did lots of planting in the garden, and painting pictures etc, and then tasted various bits... am haivng to stock up on cauliflower in particular, as whenever asked she wants "mashed potatoes and cauliflower"!

Yes - I forgot to say in the subject line that they are ABA/VB apps. I agree with everything said above - they are amazing apps and even when not free, incredible value for money - I think about 1.59 per app. DS has really taken to them and find it all self reinforcing. They are very well designed, if you get it wrong there is no 'reward' just a repeat of the question - we found this a problem with other software - that getting it wrong can be more fun ! I must go and download that telling the time one now.

I am sat cuddled up with my son, aged 3, having a very pleasant afternoon while he plays with these apps on the iPod. Brilliant.
