My son was excluded from mainstream yet again and the LA placed him in a EBD school. My solicitor advised that I should place him there and build evidence that it is not working, anyway we have the eivdence of it not working, but he has backtracked and said that even though our own independent EP is adament it is not right for him, I will struggle to get him another provision at tribunal due to them containing him...

I told my solicitor the day I looked at it that it wasnt appropriate, they have no understanding of ASD, sensory needs, hearing impairment and his anxiety levels are going through the roof, I am damned I can let him stay there, I have now made the decision to move upto yorkshire as cant risk him staying where he is as he is getting more anxious as every day goes on, plus the job offered is part time and nearly the same salary as I am on at present.

I suppose the question is though do I change legal advice?

I am really annoyed as as well as putting him through something unneccessary daily, if we stayed he could be there till 16...

Yes change legal advice. I'm another one who has worked out moving is our only hope long term.

It doesn't sound like he's advised you very well up to now! I'd get shot of him. But not before you've found an alternative, maybe?
