Proud mummy moment

DS (5.7, ASD) only replies to greeting, eg. Hello, how are you etc. Today after I picked him up from school, I put him on his car seat and said, hello DS, how are you? DS, good, how are you mummy and gave me a hug with a big smile. It might be one of, but feel so happy.

someoneoutthere - your DS might have picked up that lifelong skill of asking how someone is, but not really wanting any answer - especially if they're not well! Grin

That's lovely. Smile. Mind you I quite often just say 'how are you' without really listening to the reply, so think he's doing really well!
