Apps for I Pad Again

Hi

I was wondering if anyone knows of any good Apps for the I Pad that are aimed at building receptive understanding - I already have some ABA/VB based ones that are Feature/Function/Class based. The child has to answer a question like 'Which one is wet ? or Which one do we open?' etc. ds has really taken to them and I would to build on this success. I'm not looking for PECS/Proloque type things or Visual Schedules. I also tried the basic ABA flashcards but ds found them a bit boring as there is nothing to choose or do. Sorry to be so prescriptive but just wondered what others have found out there in App land.

Hi, not sure if there is anything in this article that may be of help (while since I read it) but it is an interesting read.
Would be interested in any good apps for the Ipad for children with ASD too!!! :)

Thanks Jo - they look interesting, I'll have a look in the app store this morning as I still have some voucher money to spend.

This is really useful - I'm trying to persuade DH to buy me an ipad for my birthday next month. I already have an iphone and DS1 loves the apps on it, including some of the phonics ones and tozzle (which is a jigsaw/matching game, good for fine motor skills).

Sounds as though I can sell it to DH that the ipad would be even more useful for DS1 Grin. Like the sound of some of the blowing apps as we really need to work on that.

this is a good non ipad game for blowing www.specialdirect.com/Product.aspx?cref=TTSPR821564
my kids love it. For the first year I had to blow also (without him knowing!), but now my boy can finally play it without my help - very proud...

There are also some really good ideas for blowing games that you can make up at home on the dyspraxia foundation verbal dyspraxia foundation www.dyspraxiafoundation.org.uk/downloads/show_download.php?id=3
