I know this is directly SN but I know these bikes can be good. Found on hotdeals a couple near us, I'm not sure if getting one is a great idea any thoughts would be greatfully rec'd. DS has ASD and cannot ride a bike yet.

my sons nearly 11 and still cant Sad he doesnt seem to have the ballance/co-ordination needed and hes tried the bikes you mention shame as hed love to be able to like his brother and sister

I think I will probably leave it for the moment as DS does not have good balance or co-ordination and it will probably end up in the shed with his other bike.

Thanks for the advise bettyboop. x

aw, a shame - none near us at all (or any relatives LOL). thanks for the info though - I will keep an eye out for similar priced ones there now that I know they carry them.

Have reserved one for my 5 year old. Hopefully he will fit!

Hope it's okay Ben10.

Are balance bikes better than a normal bike with stabalisers? It seems quite strange to me but I know they are suppose to be quite good.

I think that it is meant to bridge the gap between the balance they learn standing on a scooter and then the balance required to sit on a bike.

Thanks for the heads up for this.

Thanks Ben10 DS hasn't mastered a scooter yet so too early for him.

xx
