i have posted on here before but it was sometime ago, my son had suspected ADHD but after all the assesments it seems this isnt the case and he has dyspraxia, along with behavioural neuro-something (i cant spell it Blush )

and what i was wondering was, if any of you have children with dyspaxia, how you have dealt with it and how it has affected your family life and your childs life.

thank you very much in advance, and thanks for reading x

(sorry for repost) x

I don't really know but i would probably answer - yes DS1, lots of different and imaginative ways, some tweaks but you'd have to ask his brothers and lastly watch this space.
There are lots of strategies/physio/OT etc to lessen the impact of the physical differences.
I'm still working on all the emotional difficulties - onward and upward.
Sometimes i think that he is really well adjusted and understands and then we'll have tears and tantrums over something that i really have to think what could have caused it.
I know that i am lucky - not only do i have 3 gorgeous and loveable individuals as sons, but that DS1 has 2 understanding brothers who accept him as he is. He is also high functioning and i have no doubts that he would eventually find employment. The rest - who knows, but then tbh i feel the same with the other 2. There are no guarantees and certainties in life. You give your children as many skills to take forward in life as you can. DS1 just has different skills to take forward.
Well your post got me all reflective Smile
