Just read this first blog posting by a very respected horse racing journalist. He has just resigned from his role as Chief Correspondent of the Racing Post. Nobody - other than those closest to him - knew what emotional trauma he was going through in recent years.

how sad yet wonderful to see how hes coped and decided to take each day as it comes and see whats over the brow of that next hill rather than worry yourself sick about every aspect of yr DC life lets hope we will all soon be in a possition to feel "yes I did that I helped my DD/DS and they are the better for it " that weve done our job as mum to the best of our ability and our children become accepted for what they are, i loved what he wrote near the end about smelling flowers and realising he never did that and wouldnt it be lovely to be like that( im not sure this view having said that is rather too romantic) but its so nice to see there is actually a POSITIVE side its not all negative but the so called profeshionals and experts (i say this very loosly)would have us all believe we are bad parents of bad neglected children and there is no hope ...they should count their lucky stars there but for the grace of god go I
