Anyone with more than one ASD child?

Have noticed similarities between ds, 8, ASD and dd aged 4. She has just started nursery and I am sure it will be picked up now if there is anything.

Just wondered if anyone else has more than one asd child, what are the chances etc. No one in family believes ds has it, can't imagine what will be said now.

Yes, I have 2 sons with HFA. No other children.

I have 2 out of 2 with autism. There's a definite genetic link throughout my extended family.

Your ex can go do something to himself that would probably leave him requiring paracetamol. He's clearly your ex for a good reason.

Hi autumnsmum here my son has as and i dont think either of my daughters do , however i think i might have and my father certainly has, please dont worry about paracetomol, as pp has said everyone takes it at some point or another autism outreach said to me that it is almost certainly genetic

Thanks for all your kind messages. You would think having one autistic child I would know that I didn't cause it but I can't help worrying. I didn't take dd to many play groups so now I am worrying about that too. We went to the park loads though and she always interacted eagerly with kids there. I already feel that my parenting is judged because of ds and now it is just going to get 100% worse. She is similar to ds in some ways but not in others eg she loves, drawing, colouring, painting, writing her name and practicing letters, jigsaw puzzles (excellent at them, probably above her age group), but ds always hated them. She is also very affectionate with me but she lines things up, does repetative play, had speech delay and when she is at nursery does not like the circle time or group activities, though will play alongside and draw attention (sometimes) to what she is doing. I got the "look" from the teacher on Friday though - you know the "look" don't you? I remember it from ds just before concerns were raised. Here we again.....

Thanks for telling me about your own children and yourselves, it really does help to know, just like it did when I first posted here about ds three years ago.
