We are over the first hurdle without having to go to tribunal! I am very relieved (for now anyway)! :)

brilliant, im presuming this means they are agreeing to do the assessment without your fighting for it. ive got a tribunal date in june just to get an assessment

Yes Brandy - after two refusals to assess, we decided to appeal this time and the LA's response was to concede and they will now assess dd as her needs need to be clarified. It is good news, at least for now and will certainly save some time as the tribunal was set for a good few months time. If they do issue a statement (we live in hope), then it should be in place for her starting secondary school on September! If not, then more stress, but for now at least it has been agreed to proceed with SA.
