Hi

We're trying to teach my dd how to drink from a cup by herself. She currently has a Doidy & whilst her assisted drinking skills are now pretty great, she still struggles to drink from it by herself without soaking herself with water when she gets bored of holding the cup.

Her SALT is really keen for her to stay on a cup rather than the normal sippy cups (something to do with building muscle tone)and mentioned that you could get cups that are only partially open at the top so they are easier to use. Has anyone heard of these or know where we can get them from, as I've done a quick look online without any success?

Thanks!

Hi, we used to have some of these and got them from the baby section in Boots. Can't remember the make, but it was one of the well-known ones like Nuk. It was basically a beaker that came with 2 different tops - a normal sippy cup one and one with an open slit where the spout would normally be so fluid could freely come out. I think Heinz used to make a cup like this too.

Thanks NorthernSky - That sounds like the cup her SALT was talking about. It's the first time I've heard of the fledglings website before, so this is really useful
