Hi not sure if anyone can help but worth a try.
My ds has fragile x syndrome we live in a block off flats(council) ds does not sleep well our upstairs are quite loud talkers and have a bathroom fan that is loud they also have laminate flooring so there noise often disturbs ds when he is getting to sleep and in the night. We have done noise diarys in the past and be told its every day movement which some off it probably is. No help to us. Just wondering if there is anything i can do to get moved or help ds sleep through it ?

contact SS ad ask for an OT assessment, talk to GP and health impacts, and keep on at council.

yes you can get moved
ask ss for OT
ask OT for a supporting letter for council
hope this help

Yes, you can get moved but be prepared to fight for it.

We managed to get a 3 bed house so dd2 could have her own room, she has ASD and sleep problems, she couldn't share with dd1 as dd2 needed an empty room to be able to sleep. We had to appeal a few times as the council kept saying 'no', eventually they gave in and gave us the extra room. You need to collect as much evedence as you can, if you have a social worker then they can help, letters from OT, paed, Gp ect and just keep on at them until they give in.

in the mean time vto make sleeping easier it may be possible to put some sound proofinf on the ceiling thats shared between your dcs room adn the noisiy neighbors
