big things or little things?
If it was my little one (He has ASD) I would pick
Big things-
Laser stars projecter - help him sleep and tell day from night
Some kind of swing
Or bubble column

Little things - do they have some kind of wand were things move up and down in a tube

Oh well, I'm SO coming to your house when you get it Grin

Really please for you. Have fun choosing.

One thing I would want to keep in mind is what they might still get use out of in a few years time!

Lisa is it the charity I told you about? Is Caroline dealing with you? She is lovely Smile.

lisad123isasnuttyasaboxoffrogs · 17/01/2011 19:08

Yes it was asdx2 thank you so much.
Star you would be more than welcome, all my other friends will be fighting you for it too.

I hate the fact I have no idea of budget, don't want to appear too greedy!
Thinking two weighed blankets, a bubble tube, projector, a sensory pod box, and sensory set and timers for both girls, one with numbers for dd1 and one for dd2 with pictures.
I would love A swing but I prefer ikea one to those on there.
Is thAt too much??

Lisa I have an ikea swing seat ( cloth one) going spare if you want it.. It would need the cushion part ( it comes seperately ..) .. As ds used normal cushions as he liked it to fold round him.. And he was a big big :)

but if it would help I can send it to you.. Still in really good condition

lisad123isasnuttyasaboxoffrogs · 17/01/2011 19:18

Yes please let me know how much. My girls love them. Do I need to buy the ceiling clips? Ikea is about an hour from here so not a problem

Lisa our package was £1500 plus I think that's the general figure for each award. Caroline kept phoning and adding on as she has a budget to spend Grin

lisad123isasnuttyasaboxoffrogs · 17/01/2011 19:25

That's good to know. I'm very excited, maybe more than the girls themselves! Although dd2 won't understand it till it gets here.

Postage would be fine lisa .. I can send the swing brackets with it if you'd like.. ( says D-rings on instructions but we used heavy duty swing screw things straight into the ceiling beams and was fine with ds up to 6 1/2 stone.

I think that stuff that can transform your living room into a sensory room will be useful for years to come because they're so calming for any age.

lisad123isasnuttyasaboxoffrogs · 18/01/2011 09:26

want to come and play chocolate :)

ASDX, are you able to tell us what charity this is? Sounds amazing. Happy playing for your DC Lisa!

asdx2 · 18/01/2011 12:14

Will do can I send to your inbox though? because it's a small charity and I'd feel bad posting it on the site.

lisad123isasnuttyasaboxoffrogs · 18/01/2011 12:42
