I have a 1yrs9months baby, I notice one of his toe are a pit up than the other not in the line, when i took him to the GP, i was shocked to hear he's got flat feet and this will be the cause of that toe goes up, as the big toe is a bit pushing it up, I am really surprised as never came across this problem, the GP will refer me to specialist, but in the mean time, does anyone had the same problem,? how does it work? what do I have to do?

I'm Confused about this as children dont develop arches until age 2-3. Pretty much all babies have flat feet! If he has referred maybe it is something else going on that he would like clarifying?

Please do not ask for advice on feet from a GP they no nothing. Go to a paediatric podiatrist

thanks to you all for the advice, as for sneezecakesmum, you dont have to feel like that as you will read a lot about this problem specialy for new mums who just face new problem that it may be easy for you or normal, I am new mum is well and I am very concern about any thing I will see or notice different on my child.
thanks

I agree with sneezecakesmum, its normal for children to not develop arches until they are 2-3. Like you Atiat I went to the GP because I was worried my daughter had flat feet (she still does as does my husband).

I don't think sneezecakesmum was having a go at you, its just most of us have heard at one time or another from our GP's etc about flat feet being normal in toddlers.

Having said this, because you said your child has another problem alongside this that is probably the reason you are being referred to a specialist. I'm glad your GP is on the ball and willing to get you the support your child needs.

thanks eloise73, i am sure that sneezecakesmum wasnt having a go at me, but she will hear a lot about this problems a specially from a new mums, the issues that will be normal for us now, will be a new ones for new mums.
thats also true that I'am glad to be reffered to a specialist(THE big toe pushing the next one because of flat feet helps to be referred ASAP), but still have to wait and see what the specialist going to see.
thank you, you reassure me all, and that very helpful, I admit that I am more relax now than the frist time i heard and notice the problem.
