mine wouldn't know one if they saw one... if they ever see anything remotely related to cleaning they think it is grannie's!

5inthebed · 06/01/2011 20:04

Well I don't use it myself, he wanted it when we were in Home Bargains, as it has a telescopic cover. It was only £1.50 and has provided hours of fun!

Grin Are you going to let him? Grin

TheArsenicCupCake · 06/01/2011 20:33

That's brilliant :) let him take it!

Ds2 has to write an essay about something interesting!
OMG! What a brief for ds! I hasten to add the teacher has banned starwars, xbox and computer programming languages for him... He is now stumped!

5inthebed · 06/01/2011 21:06

Of course, he loves his feather duster. I sent a text to his 1:1 to forwarn her, she thinks it's an excellent idea.

I'd like to know what he has to say about a feather duster Grin...it will be especially funny if he doesn't mention cleaning at all.

purplepidjin · 06/01/2011 23:15

TACC - sounds like a prime candidate for an essay on the world from an ASD perspective, ie why doesn't everybody talk about Star Wars all the time???

5inthebed · 07/01/2011 12:06

Got some very funny ooks going into school with a feather duster. DS2 was very flappy and excited about it. Can't wait to see what his friends thought Grin

I like that idea. Better than my ds who is adament that s&t on Monday hes showing his pants Grin. He's very excited about his new pants, they're buzz lightyear. He's already dropped his trousers unannounced to a number of people including the paed and the nurses yesterday. I'm dreading the conversation with the teacher on Monday!

5inthebed · 07/01/2011 12:15

Brilliant Grin

rebl, could he perhaps dress his teddy in the pants to show???

I'm registering my cat with Pets as Therapy so he can come to work - anybody want me to bring him for show and tell once he's got his paperwork? Hants/Dorset Smile

Marne · 07/01/2011 14:08

Thats great 5inthebed, my dd1 has taken lots of odd things in for show and tell including stones from the garden.

purple- i'm in Dorset, dd2 used to have a cat come and visit when she was at nursery in Somerset, she loved it. I think its a great idea.

5inthebed · 07/01/2011 15:57

Well the duster went down a storm apparently. All the kids wanted a go of it, and have been taking it in turns to clean the classroom. Looks a bit battered now. DS2 even took it into the dinner hall with him Grin

elliejjtiny · 07/01/2011 17:08

DS1 wanted to take my bank statement! I would agree with most things but I draw the line at that.

Pixel · 07/01/2011 17:32

Oh show and tell, a right pain when your child is non-verbal! I have to rack my brains for something vaguely interesting to put in his book for his teacher to say about it. Also I usually forget all about it until it's too late.Blush

Marne we saw the vet today for his assessment - se the Friday thread for details Grin
