I'm not sure whether to post this here, or under health, but hopefully someone can help :).
DS2 was always a very clumsy toddler, he walked slightly on the late side - 1st steps around 17months, but was ALWAYS falling over. He always had massive lumps on his head, and the HV referred him to the doc to see if there was anything the matter. She didn't think he was flat footed and couldn't see anything wrong with the way he walked - small surgery room and he only had room to shuffle forwards slowly. So doc said she assumed he would grow out of it. Anyhow after personally observing him for a while I realised he tended to walk with one foot in front of the other and therefore literally was falling over his own feet. I think the school (where DS1 was) were slightly wary over the number of times we arrived to pick up DS1 with DS2's head covered in blood and in need of cleaning up
. Until he had been in early entitlement for one morning and had got a massive lump on his head whilst in their care
.
Anyhow, he is now 4, and doesn't fall over anywhere near as much, but he has been complaining during the night about having sore knees/legs. I am not sure if this is real - he isn't the best sleeper and is very good at trying to get out of going to bed, or if he really does have sore knees. IF he does have sore knees is it likely to be related to his clumsiness?
Any comments or ideas greatly appreciated.
