Just packing to come over to UK for a week from Spain. DD 2.10 has cp can´t walk or sit independantly. I will be travelling with her P&T buggy. Will bringing her blue badge be enough to prove she is disabled? I have had problems in the UK before, being told "but she looks normal" but this time I can not take her out of her buggy and fold it up. She is just too big and heavy eg for the bus or airport security or something. She is too big to hold and not stable to put down anywhere. I have her disabled certificate but its in Spanish.
I am worrying over nothing?!?

buses etc dont usually ask for proof, if you tell them sometimes they understand, some are idiots though, i would say only need proof if you want diabled discounts etc, for parking obviously the blue badge, just in case though would do no harm to bring your spanish certificate, it can always be translated.

Can you contact the ariline in advance to ask for help getting through? Should be able to offer you someone to help with boarding etc.

Hope you have a good journey.

Thanks, have the airports pretty sorted. This side are lovely but I had an awful time in Bristol airport (have put in a complaint). Am going to Scotland this time but will be using more public transport hence my worries

I don't think you have to be disabled to access support at airports. My Gran is 89, and until recently did a lot of travelling. She just let them know in advance and they organised an electric buggy, someone to carry her cases etc.

No idea on pubic (sic) transport, sorry.

Can you google scotrail and/or local bus companies for customer service details in advance? - They might be able to advise you on what support if any is available once you get through the airport.

good luck
