Seizure or just poorly?

Dd2 has had a busy day, lots of walking which she's not used to (she's now too big for her buggy) and has had a stressfull week at school (which is why i kept her home today). Anyway she has been happy most of the day (singing and smiling), by tea time she's looking a bit tired and running out of energy, she refussed to eat her tea (unlike her) but ate a banana and a cake when offered to her. 30 minutes after she had eaten she is curled up on the sofa (like she's tired/poorly), i asked her if she needed the potty, so she sits on it, when i look over she is fixed to the potty and shaking (a bit like shivering) and her eyes look glazzed, when she stood up she could hardly stand and really wobbly.

10 minutes latter i ask her if her tummy hurts, she says 'yes' , i then asked her if she felt sick and she said 'yes' so i got the bowl out and she iave now put her to still shakey. I have now put her to bed as she was asking to go, she's asleep but her breathing is all over the place and she's still a bit shakey.

I'm really worried about her Sad, is it the biggining of a bug, some kind of seizure or could it be stress related?

I'm staying with her for now, scaired to take my eyes off her.

It sounds like mine behave when their temp is just about to shoot up. It's my cue to dole out the Calpol.

Thanks Al1son- you were spot on, she's now asleep but has a temp of 40.1 Sad. Hopefully she will sleep it off. She seems to suffer from high temps in the winter (last year was a night-mare) but she often wakes up the next day back to her normal self.

Oh poor thing! I hope she's feeling better today.

She's very poorly, been up most of the night, her temp is still 40 and she was sick in the night, she's now in bed watching Peppa pig and drinking her drink which i have snuck cal pol into.

Oh dear. That's quite a high temp. Might be worth getting her checked out. At least she is drinking so hopefully the Calpol will work its magic. She must feel awful.

Hope you can have a duvet day to catch up too. You have my sympathy. I was getting a lecture about impetigo (there's a case in school) and how to make a periscope at 3.00 this morning Smile

Lo, dd1 is an expert on Impetigo (she had it last year). Dd2 seems to be sleeping it off, i think she's getting fed up of me going into her room and prodding her with the themometer Grin. I will check her temp in half an hour, i think she has drunk the calpol so fingers crossed it works. We often end up in hospital with her because her temp goes up so high and she refusses to drink, at least so far she seems to be drinking.

They do like to keep us on our toes don't they? I know I'm going to get a lecture at the end of school about her needing more sleep because she was awake half the night Smile

Keeping my fingers crossed for you that your DD gets better all by herself.

Off to take the dog to the vets now!
