We had a happy day today, DD managed her Christmas concert well, did all the dances, sang the loudest and the most out of tune! Xmas Grin

After realising NHS SALT is unable to offer DD (ASD) much support, only advice on IEPs on her termly visit! ...so I googled! :).....

Today we went to a University Department of Human Communication Sciences, met a SALT/Lecturer and a MA student studying Autism. I had asked for advice and links to resources, we rescheduled the meeting four times due to illness, snow etc. After two hours chatting about DD and DD babbling away..Grin..she said she would contact our NHS SALT, so she wouldnt tread on any toes, but was willing to arrange seeing DD on a regular basis for FREE 1:1 SALT!!! Her MA student would work with DD and document her as part of her project. We discussed working on understanding, pronunciation and forming sentences. Oh happy day!!! :) :) :) She was so lovely!

So just an idea but has anyone else gone down this route?

I thought it was a great idea. I'm just lurking to get good ideas but don't yet feel qualified to add any of my own!
