Bless him, he was told he would never make it because of his arm and he made it through to bootcamp.

which one was he?

CUT AND PASTED FROM ANOTHER SITE

Daniel

Daniel has cerebral palsy. When he was seven he tried to get a main part in a school play and someone told him he would not look good on stage or TV. So that put-down spurred him on and eleven years later he came along to the audition to try to prove them wrong.

Daniel sang Josh Groban's You Raise Me Up for the judges.

Louis told him he did a very good job with the song. Sharon and Simon both commented on his personality as well as his singing. He was through to the next round.

I thought he had a gorgeous voice. As did the young guy with the broken arm.

OMIGOD! I saw the repeat last night and I've seen him before!!! A very good friend of mine had a big birthday party earlier this year. Her nephew is a VERY talented musician and his band played at the party...... Daniel was the singer. I think he has got a little difficulty with mobility, a bit one-sided iyswim but does not need any sticks etc that I saw. My friend's nephew has actually got a better voice but not as much charisma and I think Daniel is quite good looking too

He's through again tonight. He has an amazing stage presence in addition to a beautiful voice. He picked another hard song to sing tonight, and did it very well. His face is so incredibly expressive.

expatinscotland · 01/10/2005 18:43

He's very good-looking. He has really soulful eyes.

Nbg · 01/10/2005 18:44

He's gorgeous!

Great singer IMO.

I thought he was absolutely brilliant. I thought his voice was good, but not brilliant and I'm really not sure if he'd have gotten through without his story or without his disability. But So What. Am I wrong in believing that people with disabilities deserve a bit of positive discrimination wherever possible? My reasoning is that there are a hell of a lot of priviledged people (ie from wealthy backgrounds or with "contacts"or for that matter, perfectly healthy, fully functioning people) who get jobs/life handed to them on a plate. People with disabilities are discriminated against all the time and they and their families have a tougher time than would have otherwise. That young chap is very very fortunate to have self belief and charisma, but I bet a lot of kids or adults with similar or worse disablities don't. So I hope the fact the judges have put him through to the next round plants the idea that non-disabled people should really think about giving disabled people an extra chance.

RTKangaMummy · 01/10/2005 20:33

they have sent him hopme

charleypops · 01/10/2005 20:46

Oh what a shame! I'm sure something will come of what he achieved though. Bet we'll be seeing him on Richard and Judy or something really soon

RTKMonherBroomstick · 03/10/2005 17:03

DANIEL IS ON RICHARD AND HJUDY NOW

sparklymieow · 03/10/2005 17:07

I watched it last night as I missed sat's show, and thought that Louie made the right choice, Daniel wasn't as strong as the others, and I thought that Louie was in a hard postion, he couldn't be seen to be getting rid of him because of the CP but couldn't keep him in because of the CP either, I did like Daniel though and hope he makes his dreams come true.
