DD 4.6 (ASD) has been progressing well with her language over the last few months.
However, over the last 2-3 weeks she has taken to calling out "Yes mummy" completely out of context.
Eg we were in a shop today and I pointed out father christmas and asked her "who's this"? and she replied "Yes mummy".
I have noticed her do this several times over the last few weeks and it usually seems to be when she does not know an answer to a question - she just blurts out "yes mummy".
Even if my mum asks her a question she cannot answer she will run to me and shout "yes mummy".
She used to use a lot of learned phrases in conversation although this has been improving with slighly more original language recently and the learned phrases she used were always in context.
I am a little bit worried as it seems it may be a step backwards or maybe a new behaviour.
She has never in the past repeated books, films, converstaions etc...
Any advice appreciated
