I was inconteinent for 5 years (post baby) I had some lovely washable knickers from the NHS - I got 5 pairs a year - but they did wash well and I was able to but extras

Would these be suitable for your girl? Or are they not absorbant enough?
They wouldn't do for night tho' (I may have wasted your time sorry)

sorry to hijack-katymac how did you "cure" your incontinence?
I only ask because this has happened to my best freind since having her 2 children and she hates it
thanks

Tension free Vaginal Tape

Key hole surgery

Small hole in the front wall of my vagina

U shaped piece of plastic with a needle at each end - passed either side of my urethra and out the skin above my pubic bone.

Then I was half woken up asked to cough and the tightened it until it was OK.

The needles were cut off and it was attached to my pubic bone (under the skin) with velcro apparently

It's great - very quick recovery - but no lifting at all

There's a shop on Wigmore St in London that sells all kids of incontinence pads, for all ages. Sorry, I can't remember the name (quite longg) or if they do mail-order.

Here it is: John Bell & Croyden, 54 Wigmore Street, London W1H 0AU

lynny70, I think this is awful - can you not appeal to the local authority? It's a desparate state of affairs when essential items such as those for your daughter are being rationed.

Am angry on your behalf.

It's really great - much better than major surgery (the other option) I was at work 2 days later - but still no lifting - I'm very careful even 2 yrs on

3 tiny holes needing one stich each.

I had urgency, incontienance, frequency but all fairly mildly. My "leak" as I called it was a continuous drip (like a tap) but I flooded if I ran, coughed, sneezed, lifted anything heavier than a hardback book

Things are much better now - it hurt (sort of pulls) if I lift too much or when I went on the trampoline but day to day I'm fine
