We pay £63 per hr for our OT (Surrey). The initial assessment and report was around £375 but was worth every penny.

lisad123isgoingcrazy · 23/11/2010 10:28

that sounds doable (just about if i dont eat for a week) LOL

We are going through this at the moment and are paying £300 for the assessment and report then £50 a week for the sessions. We are in North East England though.

oddgirl · 23/11/2010 12:14

We paid £195.00 for initial assessment and £45 per/hr thereafter-we are in Herts.

I paid £500 for initial assessment and then £65 + petrol costs after that.

I use Janet Ivin based in Berkhamsted-she is sensory trained and been fab for DS-ironically is now his NHS OT (amazing power of a statement!).

nuru · 23/11/2010 12:56

We paid £330 for full assessment (home and nursery) and report suitable for submitting to LEA for statementing purposes. We're in Herts too.

Btw Lisa, do you have any dates for when the sensory talks might happen again, or how can I find out? Also, do you still have the balance bike we talked about a few weeks. Sorry to hassle you :)

lisad123isgoingcrazy · 23/11/2010 13:08

if you email Lesley [email protected] she can tell you if there is any spaces left on talks, think theres one more set in Jan.

Yes still have balance bike, still in shed Blush will dig it out.

who did you use nuru?

oddgirl does Janet Irvin have access to a sensory room - ie swings etc???

oddgirl · 23/11/2010 13:41

No louey-probably why cheaper! She does use tunnels/deep pressure and gym ball stuff for vestibular but for us was enough as DS already done some work in proper sensory room. We needed her for more fine motor skill development but because she has a sensory background she "got" DS straight away which really helped so his sessions consisted of fine motor work interspersed with some vestibular and pressure stuff to help him concentrate. She also went into DS school to demonstrate some techniques laid out in the sensory diet she gave DS.
HTH

thanks oddgirl - DS1 really needs the swings at the moment but he may not do in the longer term so I will keep her in mind.

lisad123isgoingcrazy · 24/11/2010 15:41

home assessment is £100 per hour, does that sound fair price?

Sounds quite high to me - do you get a report for that???

thara22 · 18/09/2013 08:37
