what would an OT do??

DD2 is very clumsy and falls alot. She is very flexible in her hips, doesnt hold pen proberly and walks on tiptoes. Would these be the sort of thing an OT would do??

Im getting my fighting head on and while I know we wont get assessment for another 6 months, I do think we need something to help her physically. So asking for referal, but checking OT is right person to ask for.

Yes I think an OT would really help for these issues. They wouldn't be necessarily able to address the root causes but they could work towards her being able to cope better in daily life.

Ds2's OT has done loads of work on his core strength and balance, and some writing too. I really feel she's been the most helpful professional we have ever seen with him (although the neurologist is pretty good too).

Definitely, to advise on adaptations to make her life easier ie. particular seats or cushions, pencil grips and strengthening and motor skill exercises
