This follows from another thread about aba and lack of intervention services.
I have just contacted about everyone who is anyone in my area about ABA. There exists 2, yes 2 qualified ABA therapists in the whole town. Considering 1 in 4 children has a learning disability, thats not too good.
So I am going to set up my own program. I am reading Gina Green/C Maurice' book on behavior and have the help of a person who had done a home program and who is a childrens advocate.
What made/makes your home programs successful and what should i be looking for to include? I am really interested in verbal behaviour and also want to do errorless learning (i.e. not saying no all the time, but using prompting instead)
any ideas greatly appreciated. I am sure there are so many parents in my position. I cant afford much less get a qualified graduate of ABA so needs must!
