Hi just recieved diagnosis letter from the paeds and amongst ds AS/dyspraxia etc is something I have never heard of before.

Does anyone have a clue what this is?

Loads of people aren't, but i had to endure both Latin and Greek at school. Also, I used to work with someone with kinaesthesia (seeing numbers as colours) so I know that the ending can ne -ia, -is, or -etic...

It's to do with coordination. Is it spelt dysdiadochokinesis?

3monkeys yes that is how it is spelt, ds has loads of problems with co-ordination, so that would explain it. many thanks

It's a co-ordination disorder mainly affecting fast complex repeated movements eg touching your nose then the drs finger, or touching your two flat hands together while flipping them over alternately. The test measures how well the cerebellum works (the small broccoli-like bit under the main cauliflower-like brain).
