Fantastic! Well done, Kangaboy!

How is he today? Recovered from his faint? Sounds like it!

hoorah

you can now add 'velocopedility' when wordy descriptions are required

RTKangaMummy · 17/09/2005 19:53

He is much better HM thanks

He has been learning for ages and been trying over and over again and today he rode it alone without DH holding onto the handlebars

He rode it on the playing field at DH school

He is hoping to be able to ride it to school next summer, his friends ride to school atm and so he wants to join them.

DH and I are very proud of him

We found that going down a slight hill helped the steering and balance

Aaah, this thread gives me hope that almost seven year old ds will be able to ride a bike one day too (despite dyspraxia etc..). Well done to that Kangaboy!!

RTKangaMummy · 17/09/2005 20:16

It has taken him a lot of determination

Hope your DS gets there too

Ds is inclined to think that things should happen because he wants them to rather than by working at it - but I am plugging away at him and really hope he too can join the ranks of cyclists out there at an earlier age than I did (I was 38 when I learnt to ride a bike!).

But this thread is about the clever Kangaboy and the proud kanga parents!

Kittypickle · 17/09/2005 20:23

That's fantastic, well done Kangaboy Gives me hope as well for my DD who is another coming up for 7 year old with dsypraxia and hypermobility . I can imagine how proud you must be.
