My son is 8 - He has a diagnosis of Dyspraxia and a verbal diagnosis of Aspergers, we are waiting for a appointment with PDDAG but he has been assessed by paeds and the PDDAG nurse who have all agreed with this.

He also soils. I have posted about this before as he has a poo 10-14 times a day and has no knowledge that he has been which results in numerous changes and showers. This calms for a couple of days and then he will have a week or so again where he goes a lot.

School have no plan in place for him other than when he is constantly soiling to send work home as they will not help him in school.

Despite numerous requests he does not have a care plan.

There is a residential school trip for his year but we have now been told that he can not go as there would not be any provision for him. Can they state this? I understand that it is not nice to deal with soiling and as there is no provision in school other than to call me I am not sure what to suggest to them.

Any help would be appreciated.

I am also waiting to find out if school will provide the support my son will need on a residential trip, my boy has a statement saying he requiring 32 hours p/w. so I will also be interested in everyones views. SENCO says she can't force anyone to go to support him.

Dd is seven with ASD and a statement. At her last AR the head teacher had it documented that in order to enable dd to take part in the school residential next year he would be requesting funding to provide full TA support.Dd's TA will attend because it is expected as part of her role as dd's TA and she would want to anyway.I would suggest that the school make mention of his needs at the next AR so as funding and support can be arranged.
