Yes, sunderland test is done by.post. cost around £60 I think.

You get a questionnaire t fill out, and the necessary.bits and instructions to obtain a wee sample, freeze it.and.send it back.

Dd1 was tested a few years back, and has been gf ever since. She was also cf for a while, then we thrilled A2 milkshake for a hit, and she is now cf again as that suits her better.

it has been beyond beneficial for dd1. it has completely.turned her life around. she is a completely different child now, thanks.to.a gf/cf diet.

Just in the process of doing DS2 s urine at ESPA.
I think that the tests that are done by gastroenterologists/ drs with bloods/stools and biopsies are not wholly reliable. They look for very specific items - is this sample intolerant to casein etc. This ESPA test, from the literature, seems to let the results inform as they are - the sample has a high level of.......
DS1 was tested for lactose intolerance last year - which he passed - the other 2 failed. This year - he has shown to be intolerant to casein. The tests were too specific, or it might have picked this up earlier. Rant over.

Apologies for multiple posting:

There is some disconnect between some parents experience and what studies done on gf and cf diets would suggest.

Although the evidence base is by no means good, it does suggest the need for caution.

Having said that, it is probably safe (with a dieticians input) and might be effective.
