He did one term in ms reception then we moved and while argued with new Lea he went to private Sn nursery I found run by mencap 2 days a week 9,30- 2,30 got away with it as he was not 5 till July just gone

he is in year 1 now started in September at speech unit know some of it is because there they make him work none of the poor dc. Stuff that he had in ms

it's the fact he is struggling to eat as so tired and this weekend he did not want to do anything

I'll probably get used to this and he will go back to waking up early and in the night

dd3 gets very tired at school too. They have had to build some quiet time into her timetable where she's away from the other dcs to allow her to recharge her batteries a little. She doesn't sleep when she gets home, apart from in the car on the way but she's really irritable for the rest of the evening and cries at the drop of a hat, she still won't go to bed before 9. I'm hoping half term will let her get back to her usual self.

roundthebend4 · 18/10/2010 09:51

im hoping half term will see me having a happy ds back

yes ds often sleeps in car coming back to and sadly theres nowher efor him to escape from other dc as small class mind is only 8 in there.Though he did fall asleep other day in class for a while head on desk job

What does the school say - is he able to concentrate/have fun there or do they also have concerns?

If he is happy and learning there then you might have to put up with the early nights for a while 9actually quite Envy

If they also have concerns then maybe you could "home-ed" one day a week -say a Wednesday to let him recharge?

roundthebend4 · 18/10/2010 10:36

there noticeing that by Friday he is really struggling at school and is tearfull and less inclined to join in with it and complains that he hurts

it might sound good that he is sleeping so much
but its not i have a very tired child before and after school and who is exausted on a weekend .All the fun things he enjoyed doing on weekend etc he is just to tired for to point we went out and he kept dozing of did not want to join in .Which is not like him at all
