SIZE 7 PAMPERS V IMPORTANT.

I am the mum of a 6yo who still requires nappies. The incontinence service provided pampers up to size 6 then changed him onto Attends which leak, don't fit under jeans and cause horrendous nappy rash.

PAMPERS MAKE A SIZE 7 but only in the US.

I would like to start a petition to send to PAMPERS UK to 'persuade' them to start making these here or start importing them to the UK.

If you hate the 'nappies' your child is now getting please join the fight.

Together we can get better products for our children

Oh my goodness I didn't know these exist. The nappies we were provided with for my 5 yr old are so horrendous we now but the huggies pyjama pants but they're a bit bulky for day use but better than leaking nappies!

roundthebend4 · 07/10/2010 11:01

oh who do we conatct im going to run into this

glittery · 07/10/2010 11:10

Boots sell the Pampers Underjams online in girls and boys fit. size 7 (s/m 17kg-29kg) and size 8 (l/xl 27kg+)
they are over £5 a pack and theres only 9 or 10 in a pack but they might be useful for emergencies?

bigcar · 07/10/2010 11:10

Will look into that

Have you tried Libero, they go up to a size 7 and aren't too bad.

meltedmarsbars · 07/10/2010 12:53

We have Euron, they go right up to adult size - and come in several absorbencies (which to my knowledge pampers don't). Leaking can be due to poor absorbency imo. Tena do kids nappies too - have you tried those?

BobLoblaw · 07/10/2010 13:39

We have Libero which are fine, they seem equal to pampers so far. Might be worth trying them too.

ouryve · 07/10/2010 16:27

Also vouching for the Libero, here. They're not as soft as pampers and get a bit smelly when they've been used (no bad thing with a child who won't tell you he needs changing) but only leak when DS1 (almost 7 and actually outgrowing them) wakes up in the morning having weed out a whole bucketful.

auntevil · 07/10/2010 16:38

Still waiting for school nurse to provide for my DS - so reading with interest. Trousers are age 7/8 - although only 5 and skinny. Which of the above have a good depth from crotch to side?

cansu · 07/10/2010 16:50

Libero are quite good IMO. They also do an night comfort pullup which is even more absorbant.

Preciousdaisybear · 07/10/2010 17:08

Hi I use libero at home and send the horrendous leaky Attends to school. Just annoyed that the incontinence service wont provide the BEST product for our children Angry.

Librero are good but having to order online and have them sent is a real pain as I have a 5 month old non-sleeper and even remembering the ordinary things is hard! Really want the incontinence service to be better...

Will your continence service not change to Libero? Ours provides them.

ouryve · 07/10/2010 19:18

auntevil - DS1 who wears the libero is 6 and skinny, wearing the same size trousers as your DS.

auntevil · 07/10/2010 20:51

ouryve what size do you get in the Libero?

Preciousdaisybear · 07/10/2010 21:51

Hi Bigcar which incontinence service do you use (if that's not cheeky) it's all grist to my mill...

we get libero, in nottinghamshire, they are pretty good, i uually have a spare few packets if anyone locally wants to try them!?

Lauree · 07/10/2010 22:51

Tena slips in Hackney up to size huge in range of absorbencies. they're fine but a vry plasticky and make crinkly noises which is a bit embarrassing. or Huggies Pyjama pants if you're feeling flush.

Yes please Pampers. even size 6 is a struggle to find in the shops.

1973magpie · 08/10/2010 13:36

Hi, I was shopping in Morrison's today and they had the Pamper's UnderJams packs for half-price I think (£2-£3) instead of £5, and they were up to a size 9 if that's any use? HTH Smile

glittery · 08/10/2010 15:30

try Ebay as well, a few sellers doing them for £1.99 a pack and theres one also selling in bulk, 10 packs for £34.99

Bumblelion · 08/10/2010 15:34

I also vote for Libero - when my DD was incontinent, they were very good.
