I will finally be able to fire a few specific questions about DS's spacey moments and about my suspicions concerns over one of DS's pupil which isn't dilating properly and his speech sound disorder (i sniff a link...cue his difficult birth but i won't mention that).

Correct me if i'm wrong but it is a neuro-paed who can refer for an MRI scan right?

Genie, I thought that any paed can book an MRI. Do you go to RHCH? We see Dr W, who's special interest is Neurodisability and Autism, and he booked DD1's MRI. But I would have thought that any of the Paeds at RHCH could book an MRI if they wanted to.

Thanks Lougle.
No we're not going to the RHCH, i don't know yet the name of the neuro paed we will see.
On all of our letters sent from the RSH hospital, they seem to write what the clinic is called this time it says "pediatric sch neuro dev", and only after for reviews then the paed's name is written down.
So far, we have seen the comm.paed at the Bit**e Health centre, we saw the consultant paed there too, but on the first occasion we saw the comm.paed in the office the HV uses at our local sure start centre, and this is where we have to see this 'neuro paed'.
But for the actual asd assessments and DX, we saw the Camhs autism team with another paed Dr.H, at B house by the SG hospital.

Ah I see. It's amazing how just a few miles changes your pathway, isnt' it? We live on a border, I think.
