i am waiting for a draft statement to come through, but i have been asked to name a school which i would like my ds to attend the only problem is the school i want my ds to go to is first of all its out of my borough second i have been told previously that children have been turned down as in the local authority in my borough has refused to fund the children for that perticular school but there are 14 other boroughs within london who fund for that perticular school and they have also been able to win(the local authority wins) at the tribunal so alternatively the parents end up sending there children to schools with in the borough its not matter of transportation because i would happily travel and drive my ds there and back every day so my question is how often does the decision at a tribunal favour the parents?

It all comes down to cost unfortunately, it's much cheaper to keep a child in borough than to pay another borough for their school place and all the therapies they may have to buy in.

I think this may be what you are looking for, don't think the figures are out yet for 2009/10.
