Don't know whether to laugh or cry about it!
Chatting about the kids to the hairdresser i usually go to, i told her i cut DS's hair myself and it's hard work as he has autism.
She says i should try bringing him here to the salon. So i replied i don't know how he'd cope with the new smells, the hairdryer noises,...because of his sensory problems.
The gem she came out with: oh no worries we'll give him a lolly, it works well with children that are scared.
was my answer.
I really think they should promote autism awareness more.
