DD has lots of food allergies, the worst ones being eggs, fish and nuts (she has an Epipen).

Just gave her some lentil soup, which she loves, and she came out in a massive rash.

So that's something else to add to the list.

It's hard enough getting her to eat anyway!

She also can't wear anything with Polyester in it, so struggling to get a winter coat for her!

if you win the lottery this might suit? Shock

Sympathies about teh allergies, ahve a few myself so know a little (and currently have burned scalp from my most recent sudden onset one, to hair dye now- ouch).

she is sensitive to wool too Sad

I had one to hair dye recently too, and seem to get allergic reactions recently when I have never had them before, it's strange.

Could you fgind a pattern like this for a knitted coat, and see if you could get someone on the craft section to make it up with wool you know is safe and maybe add a natural lining (silk?) with polyester free wadding if necesary (though a silk lining and wool is ++ warm)? It's been a while since I was a craft regular (not knitting am afraid or would offer) but very helpful crowd there.

Am lucky her nursery staff are so lovely, have just had to give them a signed letter saying she is often sick for no reason so she doesn't need to be sent home if she seems well (she has thrown up several times there recently for no reason), now I will have to add another allergy to her file tomorrow.

She has caused them a lot of work (had to be changed 3 times today as she kept going in the water) but they still seem to care about her!

Allergies can kick in any time; I seem to get a new one a year. This one should ahve sent me to hospital though (I have maybe burns on 1/2 my scalp) but DH was working in Devon so no chance.

You can get silk for knitting, maybe try that with a knitting pattern?

Thanks, that is a really nice idea about the coat Smile Will have a look.

Ouch, that sounds painful, mine was just like mild sunburn (just before we went on holiday, typically!)

there's cotton bulky yarns a swell that wash well though sometimes you need to order from USA (easier than you'd think though- common with crafty stuff)

You'd find seamstresses here too, in whcih case you could choose your fabric.

They sound perfect too. Smile

Would this coat from Frugi be any good?

The also do a cord duffle coat here.

or this one from Green Baby?

Sorry, I don't know how old your dd is, so didn't know what age to look for.

I know both companies try to be as natural and ethical as possible, so are unlikely to use polyester.

DD is 4 next month.

That cord duffle looks perfect, thanks!
