other than sleep?

erm....just a nice day with the family really.

SanctiMoanyArse · 23/09/2010 17:53

Either a few pairs of redfoot shoes here becuase we camp a lot and I hate going out for a meal in grotty shoes because there isn;t the space of several pairs, or a Kindle reader.

Obviously I could post lots about DS's having less battle or whatever but heck, I like pressies too.

kittyfu · 23/09/2010 18:02

i'm with you SanctiMoanyArse, i like pressies too and would love an ebook reader. i keep dropping hints to dp. not sure he's getting them.

sneezecake · 23/09/2010 18:04

OP posts:
SanctiMoanyArse · 23/09/2010 18:22

e-reader

Sony do one too that links to Waterstones.

TheArsenicCupCake · 23/09/2010 18:28

I have no idea for a pressie just for me.. Probably a baby sitter and a dinner out with dh ( with a no dc or work chat rule.. Although I wonder what we'd talk about lol)

sugarcandymonster · 23/09/2010 18:43

I'm looking forward to Christmas because DS will be home from residential school, just having him here will be lovely.

Oh, I also want a visit from the tidy-up fairy to sort out the whole flat.

In which case you need to start researching and make sure they know exactly what you want!!

I don't do clothes but do insist dh comes up with something lovely I would not normally buy myself - perfume, spa day. Kindle sounds good.

ouryve · 23/09/2010 20:20

I've not had my birthday yet!

For that, I'm getting I've got a yarn swift and ball winder. For Christmas, I'll probably have to have some nice yarn to wind with them!

sumum · 23/09/2010 20:54

Panzee - a time machine would be fab, esp for us lot on this board, we could do all the chores then travel back in time for a long sleep before the dcs came home from school.

Fab idea.

I would also use it to travel back and peek at my dcs when they were babies Smile they were soo cute then.

roundthebend4 · 23/09/2010 21:00

Erm something 6 foot plus ,male and fun lol well did say what I wanted to find under the tree Grin

roundthebend4 · 23/09/2010 21:00

Ps can I open mine at 1 minute pass midnight before the kids wake up

woolytree · 23/09/2010 21:04

Id like a night in a hotel with my BF and some cash to spend in the jan sales whilst my DH has both DCs! Grin....of course after the shopping we must go out! :)

...he normally buys me amber jewelry but Ive got enough now.

Eloise73 · 23/09/2010 22:00

Well, realistically i'd love an e-reader. But if money is no object i'd like 3 weeks in Orlando spent the following way:

10 nights at the Polynesian Resort with a lagoon room view so we can all watch the fireworks each night from our room :)

4 night Disney cruise to the Bahamas and Castaway Cay - spa day, room service and a brilliant nursery for dd where Cinderella and other princesses come and read them bedtime stories...heaven ;)

5 nights Royal Pacific Resort at Universal Studios with heaps of Harry Potter land time.

Can you tell where my happy place is?! LOL!

negligentmummy · 23/09/2010 22:09

one of the nespresso coffee machines... i've wanted that for the last 2 years- won't get it this year either I'm sure!

sugarcandymonster · 23/09/2010 22:17

I have a Sony e-reader and it's fab. I got it before the Kindle was released so not sure what that's like in comparison. Brilliant for DS who always complains he's bored when travelling and easier than carrying around his volumes of Harry Potter.

madsadlibrarian · 23/09/2010 22:34

a mountain bike - how sad is this, but I rode one for the first time today - they are so comfy and so easy to ride - my old bike doesn't even have gears it is so old (it was my gran's). I had no idea what I was missing out on until I 'borrowed' dd's bike today. Santa will be in no doubt what is required by this lady.

now I'm wondering what else I might be missing out on Grin - not entertainment, that's for sure.

SanctiMoanyArse · 23/09/2010 23:20

See, I have a mountain bike- had it five years and never even left the box Blush. (In defence did cost a tenner with my washing amchione for some bizarre reason). Only places i'd want to cycle to here (Uni and childminder) are both up very steep hills LOL. And now Dh ahs buried it in teh shed under the detritus of a decade, so.....

A cruise sounds good: we had one for our honeymoon and then life kicked in. Oh well.

Jewellery I don't need (DS1 has discovered a talent for making it for me- yay), clothes I could do with but cannot be arsed....

Ah yes.

Boring cow that I am, if money were no object but within realms of possibility (i.e. not a house or a pension!), then a Magimix type unit- about £400 the one I drool over.

MrsFlittersnoop · 24/09/2010 01:56

I'd like DS (Aspie) to make some friends. He is in year 10.

borderslass · 24/09/2010 06:13

nothing I want.
